Quality Components: Inside an EZ Series Booster

The EZ Series Booster Pump is one of our most popular industrial pumps, and is built with quality components.

For quality control and fast assembly time, we injection mold all our diffusers and impellers in our machine shop at Webtrol.

The top diffuser helps stabilize the shaft and keeps it stable for smooth operation. It is made of a strong polycarbonate thermoplastic named Lexan. Either a brass or Rulon insert is cut to length and molded into the diffuser body during the process. Rulon is used for stainless steel models and brass is used for cast iron models.

Once molded, the brass and Rulon inserts are machined and deburred to ensure a smooth edge. If brass inserts are used, they are burnished for an ultra-smooth finish. Each diffuser is individually hand-checked for accuracy and fit.

We injection mold our impellers from high strength, glass filled Delrin, Noryl, or polycarbonate thermoplastic. Like our diffusers, they are molded, machined, then hand-checked for accuracy.

Once inspected, the diffusers, top diffusers, and impellers are sent to the assembly area where they are placed onto the stainless steel pump hex shaft for final construction.
